Chain break tool is for use with types #25 through #60 pitch roller chain. Tool is ideal if cutting chain to length from a reel of chain. 

Chain tool is used for both removal and installation of a chain that does not use a quick release or master link. The chain tool is used to press the pin or rivet of the chain link in or out in order to separate or connect the chain.
