Touching the capacitor can result in serious injury or death. When the machine is running, the capacitor holds a lethal amount of charge. When the machine is turned off, the capacitor holds voltage for 30-60 seconds. Allow 2 minutes for the capacitor to discharge before touching or working near the capacitor.
