Standard master link is used to connect the step chain to the pedal return spring on the Stairmaster Steppers. In this application, a sleeve is used in conjunction with the link and must be reused or purchased separately.

In other applications, the link is used to connect two chain ends together; such as on the step chain for the Stepmill and Gauntlet.
